Frequently asked questions

What can I grow in a raised garden bed?

You can grow most backyard crops including tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, herbs, strawberries and flowers.

Raised beds warm faster in spring, improve drainage and help plants develop stronger roots compared to ground planting.

How long do metal raised garden beds last?

Galvanized steel beds typically last many years outdoors.

Kesfitt beds are built as a permanent garden structure, not a seasonal planter.

Normal weathering may occur but does not affect performance.

Are galvanized raised beds safe for vegetables?

Yes.

The coating is non-toxic and safe for growing edible plants including vegetables, fruits and herbs.

Metal beds are widely used because they warm soil faster and improve early growth.

What soil should I use in a raised garden bed?

For best results use a layered fill method:

Bottom: sticks or leaves (drainage)

Middle: compost or organic matter

Top: garden soil mix

This improves aeration and reduces soil cost.

Do I need tools to assemble it?

No special tools required.

Most customers assemble the bed in about 15–20 minutes using hand-tightened bolts.

Why use a raised garden bed instead of planting in ground?

Raised beds provide:

• better drainage

• warmer soil in spring

• fewer weeds

• improved root growth

• easier maintenance

They make gardening more predictable and beginner-friendly.

BUILT FOR EVERYDAY GARDENS

The essentials of a lasting outdoor space

Good gardens aren’t created in a weekend.

They grow slowly — shaped by weather, routines, and time spent outside.

Kesfitt designs simple structures that support that rhythm, helping your space stay organized, durable, and easy to care for season after season.

Review

Perfect little Garden bed

It took some work to put it together, but I love the style and sturdiness of the garden bed! The color is so pretty, too! We will definitely be getting more for our little garden soon.

Great Garden!

The product quality is indeed very high. It came with an annoying plastic film, presumably to protect the surface from scratches until it was peeled off. Peeling it off was a bit of a hassle, but the final result is very beautiful... so I think it was worth it.

Great Heavy Duty Raised beds

These were very easy to assemble, was the look that I wanted without paying the horse trough price. I caught them on sale and they were so reasonable! Sturdy.

Absolutely love this!

I absolutely loved these. Following directions online I laid down cardboard, some sticks and then different layers of soil. It was very airy and my plants thrive in it.
